Celebrate Salmon the Weekend of September 9th-10th, 2017!
If you love Salmon as much as we do, now is a great time to travel to Oregon’s South Coast! Not only is Chinook Salmon season near it’s peak, there will be 2 events celebrating salmon the 2nd weekend in September!
Mill-Luck Salmon Celebration- Sept 9th & 10th, 2017
The Mill-Luck Salmon Celebration offers visitors the opportunity to experience Native American culture, art, food and music. It features free daily performances, a marketplace offering traditional wares and foods, a bay-front canoe exhibit and races, traditional games and activities for children, plus a variety of cultural demonstrations and educational exhibits. The celebration is perhaps best known for it’s traditional salmon bake dinner where fresh salmon is prepared in the time-honored Coquille open-pit manner. 18th Annual Coos Basin Salmon Derby

The Bay Area Fun Festival September 15th-17th,2017 Downtown Coos Bay
Beautiful Downtown Coos Bay comes alive with vendors, art, food, beer, wine and more during the Bay Area Fun Festival, also known as the greatest last party of the summer. This festival is so much fun, there was no other name we could even consider other than the “Fun Festival”. 31st Annual Cruz the Coos September 15th-17th, 2017
The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club is proud to continue this tradition spanning decades on Oregon’s Adventure Coast. Cruz the Coos is one of the longest-running and largest classic car cruises on the Oregon Coast and features hundreds of rare and vintage cars. These family friendly events include a Show ‘n Shine at the Mill Casino on Friday and it’s marquee event, the annual “cruise” through the streets of downtown Coos Bay on Saturday. 38th Annual Prefontaine Memorial Run September 16th, 2017
The annual Prefontaine Memorial Run is a 10,000 meter road race honoring one of America’s Greatest Distance Runners. Choose from the 10km, or 2M walk. For more information contact the Prefontaine Memorial Committee, Bob Huggins. Registration available online.
